Do I need an account to use Foldy?

No. Foldy works the moment you open it — no sign-up, no email, no password. Your content is yours from the start.

Where is my data stored?

On your device. If you enable iCloud sync, it’s kept in your personal iCloud account so it can follow you across your devices. We never receive or store your content on our own servers.

Can Foldy really read my handwriting?

Yes. Write on the paper-style canvas with Apple Pencil and Foldy uses Apple’s on-device text recognition to turn your handwriting into editable, searchable text — no upload required. The same recognition pulls text out of study PDFs and photos.

What can I search across?

One search bar reaches your notes, tasks, bookmarks, habits, and folders at once, so you don’t have to remember where you put something.

Is Foldy really free?
