What is Foldy?

How does the Focus feature work?
Start a focus session and a book writes itself onto your shelves as you concentrate. Finishing a session adds the book to your study library. Do I need an account to use Foldy?
No. Foldy works the moment you open it — no sign-up, no email, no password. Your content is yours from the start.
Can Foldy read my handwriting?
Yes. Write on the paper-style canvas with Apple Pencil and Foldy uses Apple’s on-device text recognition to turn your handwriting into editable, searchable text — no upload required. The same recognition pulls text out of study PDFs and photos.
Does Foldy use AI, and is it private?
Foldy can turn any study folder into a practice quiz and summarize any file using on-device Apple Intelligence. It runs entirely on your device, works offline, and your content never leaves your iPhone or iPad.
